Carlos Castillo, ICREA Prof. and leader of the Web Science and Social Computing research group participates in "Inteligencia Artificial: Ética, Políticas y Cambio Social", organised by the JHU-UPF Public Policy Center.

Camil Ungureanu (Department of Political and Social Sciences, UPF) and Beatriz Rodríguez-Labajos (JHU-UPF Public Policy Center) will moderate a round table where, in addition to Carlos Castillo, Cristina Astier Murillo, (Dept. of Law, UPF, and postdoctoral researcher in iDEM project), Sara Suárez-Gonzalo, (Communication Networks and Social Change group at the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute, UOC) and Adrián Almazán (Department of Humanities, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) will discuss around questions such as  "What is its potential as a technology? What role do governments have in ensuring that AI is a benefit and not a danger to society? What are the ecological impacts of AI, and how can it be reconciled with the green transition?!.
