Face-to-face introduction course to Arabic language and culture (A1.1) 2023-2024

This programme consists of a 30-hour, face-to-face, quarterly course whose main objective is for students to gain an initial understanding of Arabic language and culture (A1.1) in a dynamic environment with a specific focus on the practical use of the language.

Course details

  • Recipients: This course is open to the UPF community and the external public from the age of 16.
  • Duration and modality: 30 hours face-to-face (a total of 75 hours of teaching-learning).
  • Students per group: Minimum 15 - maximum 25.
  • Calendar: January-March (calendar).
  • Course start: 9 January 2024.
  • UPF student credits: On successful completion of the course, 3 ECTS RAC credits and 3 credits for the Minor in Plurilingualism.
  • UPF certificate: UPF certificate.

    • A1.1 level: Tuesday and Thursday, 6.30-8.30 pm, Poblenou Campus [CLOSED]

 

Fee

Standard fee: 260 €

Conditions

  • The price of the course includes the teaching, the material and resources available in the Global Classroom of the course, and the UPF certificate of the course.
  • Idiomes UPF reserves the right to cancel any course that does not reach the minimum number of students required (15). In this case, the full amount of the course will be refunded.

Plurilingual Profile

This program allows students to gain first-hand knowledge with native-speaking teachers of up to six different languages during an academic year: Japanese and Russian in the first term (October–December), Korean and Arabic in the second term (January–March) and Portuguese and Chinese in the third term (April–June). In addition, students can obtain up to 12 ECTS credits (studying all four languages) during an academic year, which will be recognised as part of the UPF Minor in Plurilingualism.
