Pompeu Fabra University, in an effort to adapt to the new situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, has organized several online sessions dealing with its degrees for undergraduates and official master’s degrees, which will take place throughout the month of May.

Thus, a few weeks after activating the new “Connecta’t i informa’t” website, which enables finding out information online about the University’s bachelor’s degrees and posing queries via a video call, now several group format information sessions have been scheduled.  The sessions, for which prior registration is required via an online form (for both bachelor’s degrees and official master’s degrees), will include a presentation of the degree course by one of the academics involved, with whom it will be possible tointeract.

The bachelor’s degree sessions will take place between 18 and 22 May and already have more than 900 registrations.

The sessions for the presentation of the bachelor’s degrees will take place between 18 and 22 May, at 5:30 pm and 7 pm (at present over 900 people have registered) and a total of 19 have been planned, some of which group together degrees from the same field of knowledge. The final arrangements are still being made for the official master’s degree sessions, to be held between 11 and 14 May. The information and any new sessions will be updated on the website as they are confirmed.

Structure of sessions and technical requirements for participation

The sessions will be structured as follows: there will be a brief explanation by a member of the University Promotion team, who will act as chairperson; then there will be a presentation of the degree by one of its lecturers (in the case of bachelor’s degrees) and/or a coordinator (in the case of master’s degrees), and finally, participants will be able to put their questions to them.

The technical requirements for participation are to have a computer or mobile phone connected via Google Chrome or Firefox, and a link that participants will be sent by email. Throughout the session, you must follow some guidelines to ensure its smooth running, such as requesting the floor by activating an icon or using a chat.
