Languages UPF: study languages at the University

You can choose between different course types: annual courses; intensive courses; face-to-face, blended or online courses; termly or summer courses. Furthermore, we offer general or specific language courses, conversation courses, specialized courses, preparation for UPF tests or Cambridge exams, courses to prepare for levels C1 and C2 in Catalan, etc.

The courses are designed so that you can fit language learning in with your studies and also so you can get credits towards your degree or towards the UPF minor in Multilingualism, or go on an Erasmus or spend a period abroad.

Please remember that you can also obtain €350 in financial assistance (or up to €600 if you receive a general grant for post-compulsory education or an Equidad grant). This applies to every course you take with UPF Languages up to and including level B2.2 (in English, French, German or Italian). As such taking university quality UPF Languages courses with native speaking teachers is free or practically free!

How to access

    Requirements

    • If you want to do a beginner level (A1) or you have previously completed a Languages UPF course, you can enrol without providing evidence of your level.
    • If you want to do a higher level and have not studied at Languages UPF, you have to demonstrate your level by:
