VEIS project (Valuation of the European Archive of the Genome-Phenome (EGA) for the Industry and the Society)  is led by the ICREA researcher and genetics professor at UPF Arcadi Navarro, unites the main I+D centres in bioinformatics and computational biology of the region and includes the participation of three hospital institutions.

The consortium  aims to develop, boost and manage computational tools to allow an easy access to EGA (European Archive of the Genome-Phenome) and the datasets stored in this archive. An open technologies ecosystem will be created to this aim, which will adapt to the clinical data analysis and interpretation needs in a research environment and application to biomedicine through EGA database.
