Applications must be submitted by the director of the departament at seu electrònica (PDI, tràmit Ajut COFRE (Modalitat A) Departaments) and should include as an attachement a report based on the template document that includes

1.  the budget forecast and the actions that will be carried out during 2022 
2.  a memory of the budget spent and the activities carried out the previous year under the COFRE

This modality allows financing the following concepts:

• Hiring personnel (research, technical support or administrative personnel) in accordance to current regulations
• Acquisition of consumable, equipments and bibliography
• Edition of materials produced (books, working documents, publication of articles, etc.)
• Mobility for research activities: travel and accommodation expenses
• Attendance to congresses (registration fees, ...)
• Other activities directly related to research
• Important: UPF personnel fees will NOT be eligible expenses

The amount awarded will be proportional to the amount of overhead generated in the last three years by the department's grants and to a series of weighted criteria such as the evaluation of the department's research or the number of competitive grants awarded. The execution period of the COFRE Departments will last till December 31, 2023.
