Due to the exceptional situation created by the COVID-19 crisis, Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera has been forced to cancel the Excellence Grant for the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. The intention of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera is to resume the programme of scholarships once the situation is normalized.

Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation awards the Master in European and Global Law with financial aid from its Masters of Excellence Programme. For the selection of the programme’s recipient master’s degrees, Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation establishes the following requirements:

  • The international outreach of the master's programme
  • Teaching mostly in English
  • Orientation of the programme towards research
  • The master’s degree must have been running for at least two years
  • Have a minimum of 20 students enrolled

The scholarship is awarded with 5,000 euros for a student proposed by Pompeu Fabra University. The selection criteria will be based solely on the excellence of the candidates, who must be Spanish nationals. The Coordination of the Master in European and Global Law proposes the best candidate of each academic year for the application to be considered by an Evaluation Committee of the Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation, which considers and ultimately decides on the granting of the scholarship.

These scholarships are compatible with other public aid unless otherwise stated by the other institution. Also, these scholarships are incompatible with any scholarship or financial assistance from another private entity or financial institution, unless Catalunya-La Pedrera Foundation gives its express authorization.
