DTIC PhD - INPhINIT students attend La Caixa training workshop

Our PhD students Amelia Jiménez, Milica Vujovic and Andrea Urru attended La Caixa training week at Girona, from 13 to 17 of November, where they were introduced to several topics via collaborative learning activities.

The five day program included topics such as Networking, Team building, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Professional Development for Researchers, Working with your Supervisor and  Time Management, Building an online profile as a researcher, Responsible Research and Innovation, Project Management, Public Engagement (how to engage with stakeholders), Exploring patents and other intellectual property, International patent strategy,  Value and benefits of technology transfer and Project evaluation, An introduction to academic consulting,  Licensing definition and process, Licensing negotiation or Introduction to spin-outs..

Our students mentioned how well planned both professionally and socially the program was. They were also surprised by how easily it was to connect with other people. And while before this training they considered themselves just individual students, now, after sharing this great experience, they feel part of a big community and have met people with whom they can share experiences and problems with.

On the professional side, it was a great experience to be aware of complementary skills that they can develop during the PhD, and also really motivating to understand where they can and have to improve.

Our students want to thank to La Caixa and to the team for organising this amazing event!
