Last Friday 22nd September, Radwan Qasrawi's thesis defense was held. He carried out his doctoral project, called "reatment planning methods for clinical electroporation", in the biomedical electronics research group (BERG) under the supervision of Dr. Antoni Ivorra. Besides congratulating doctor Qasrawi, his defense represents a step in the history of the department: he is the 200th doctor to graduate from the department since its beginning in 1999.

 

After more than 14 years to graduate the 100th doctor in November 2013, the second hundred of doctors was achieved in less than 4 years. Only in 2016 36 doctors were graduated, a new record, and the current number for 2017 is of 24 graduated doctors, so there is still the possibility to improve the 2016 score. Looking at the 200 doctors' statistics, the department's diversity is highlighted: more than 80 (40%) were international students, and more than 50 (25%) are women.
