Katerina Petrova awarded three-year Beatriu de Pinós programme fellowship
Katerina Petrova has been selected as one of 60 Beatriu de Pinós fellowship recipients in Catalunya under the 2019 call for grants. The Catalan Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) will support Prof. Petrova with €144,300 over three years to allow her to develop research of her choosing.
The fellowships are awarded by the Catalan government in order to enhance postdoctoral researchers' career perspectives and assist them in obtaining independent research positions. Candidates are selected based on their past achievements, international experience, and excellent professional careers. Applicants must have received their PhD within the past five years and have a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain.
Prof. Petrova earned her PhD in Economics from Queen Mary University in 2016, and currently serves as Assistant Professor in the UPF Department of Economics and Business, as well as Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona GSE. Her research interests include time series econometrics and macroeconometrics, and she is currently working on developing robust Bayesian inference techniques in the presence of distributional misspecification in popular macroeconometric models such as VAR and DSGE models.
