Priit Jeenas and Mikhail Spektor

Priit Jeenas and Mikhail Spektor were both selected in the 2019 Spanish government call for Juan de la Cierva grants. The funding awarded will support their post-doctoral research for the coming two years.

Juan de la Cierva grants are given by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities to selected young researchers who have recently received their PhDs. Applying for such grants is a competitive process, and candidates are chosen both based on their academic merits and on the record of the research team where they wish to work. The goal is to help promising young researchers integrate into research teams and institutions, and to reinforce their specialisation.

Priit Jeenas is Assistant Professor at the UPF, CREI Associate Researcher, and Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona GSE. He received his PhD from New York University in 2019, and his research interests are macroeconomics, monetary economics, and financial economics. Mikhail Spektor is Assistant Professor at the UPF and Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona GSE. He received his PhD from the University of Basel in 2018, and his research interests are decisions under risk and uncertainty, learning and decision making, context-dependent preferences, and cognitive modelling.
