On 5 and 6 July, the courtyard of the Roger de Llúria building on the Ciutadella campus will host the graduation ceremony of the 26th cohort of UPF graduates, with the participation of around 2,190 graduates, about 1,750 bachelor’s degree students and 440 postgraduate students.

The main novelty at this year’s graduation ceremony, organized with the support of the UPF Board of Trustees, is the graduation of the first cohort of the bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, which will be represented by some fifty students.

It will be possible to follow the ceremony live on the institutional website and on Twitter with the hashtags #GraduacioUPF19 and #MadeInPompeu, and it is expected to be attended over the two days by approximately 10,000 people, including graduates, family and friends.

Six different sessions with a similar structure

The graduates of the University’s different degrees, including bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees, will take the stage in the courtyard of the Roger de Llúria building to receive their commemorative diploma from the various vice-rectors and academic officers related to their studies. It will be split into six different sessions, two on 5 July (one bachelor’s degree at 6 pm and one postgraduate at 8:30 pm) and four on July 6 (at 10:30 am, 12:30 pm, 6 pm and 8:30 pm), all bachelor’s degrees.

Each session will be structured as follows: there will be a screening of a commemorative video; welcome and presentation; a graduation lecture given by a UPF professor; the performance of two pieces by the University Choir; the delivery of the diplomas; speeches by graduates representing the different degrees, the screening of a good luck video, and the performance of Gaudeamus Igitur by the Choir. The session devoted to master’s degrees and doctorates is slightly different in that there are no speeches by the graduates, and it includes the Doctorate Special Awards.

Schedule of the various sessions, participants and graduation lectures
