Five professors awarded Juan de la Cierva grants from the Spanish government

Funding from the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities will support researchers' skill development and team incorporation for two to three years

Sponsoring organisations for Juan de la Cierva grants

Five UPF Department of Business and Economics professors have been awarded Juan de la Cierva grants from the Spanish government to support the advancement of their post-doctoral research and incorporation.

Profs. Jack Jewson, Dmitry Kuvshinov, and Theodor Vladasel have recieved "Formación" grants, which will co-finance their salaries for a period of two years, and aims to integrate them into research teams and to reinforce their specialisations.

Profs. Francesco Cerigioni and Alberto Santini have received "Incorporación" grants, which will co-finance their salaries for three years, and aims to further establish them into research institutions and to strengthen their skills.

Juan de la Cierva grants are given by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, the State Research Agency, and the Spanish Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan to selected young researchers who have recently received their PhDs. Applying for such grants is a competitive process, and candidates are chosen both based on their academic merits and on the record of the research team where they wish to integrate.
