The Department is therefore pleased to announce two new professors for the 2021-2022 academic year: Lorenzo Cappello and Thomas Neuber.

Lorenzo Cappello PhD Bocconi University. Fields of research: Statistical approaches to mathematical questions, Scalable coalescent-based inference, Recursive algorithms in Bayesian statistics, and Applications in infectious diseases and ancient DNA.
Thomas Neuber PhD candidate Bonn Graduate School of Economics. Fields of research: Applied microeconomics, Behavioral economics, and Applied econometrics.
