The UPF Department of Economics and Business congratulates its 2020 PhD job market candidates for their achievement this year in the job market. Having proven exceptional work ethic and commitment, students in the Graduate Programme's PhD track are well qualified to pursue advanced careers in the field of economics.

Each of the 11 PhD students have been offered a position at top academic, research, or financial institutions, including: Aalto University, Banca d'Italia, Deutsche Bundesbank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Nanjing Audit University, Norges Bank, Lund University, Sun Yat-Sen University, University of Zurich, University of Pittsburgh, and Zhejiang Gongshang University.

The Department would also like to extend its thanks and appreciation to Prof. Filippo Ippolito for having served as Placement Officer for the PhD job market candidates. After six years, this will be Prof. Ippolito's last cycle in the role. Prof. Libertad González will commence as the new Placement Officer for the 2020-2021 academic term.
