Fees (Prices for the Academic Year 2021-2022*)

The fee for Year 1 is €16,500. A selected group of students will be offered partial or full tuition waivers, and scholarships to (partially) cover living expenses.

The fee for the MRes programme is € 2,906.40 (EU citizens) / € 6,739.80 (non-EU citizens)

The fee for the Doctorate is € 470,92

Most of the MRes and Doctorate students are fully funded (covering tuition and living expenses), by a combination of scholarships, teaching assistantships (TA) or research assistantships (RA).

 

The fee for visiting students is € 5.000 per quarter or € 2.000 per course

Please note that there is a charge of € 500 per term for visiting doctoral students who do not attend courses. The fee covers the use of an office and access to the IT facilities. The fee must be paid by the third week of term or facility access may be removed.

There are no fees for EDP Students.

 

EBES programme

The UPF Department of Economics and Business assigns grants to members of its PhD Programme who present papers in International conferences and symposiums and who spend short stays abroad to do research.

The aim of this grant is to finance, partially or totally, travel expenses derived from paper presentations in conferences or shorts stays abroad to those students who have no other funds to finance them.

This grant covers up to the following amounts:

DEE Research Budget

PhD Students have a yearly budget of 500€ to cover research expenses. This ammount is granted for presentations in conferences, and requires the approval of the PhD Direction for any other purpose.

 

UPF PhD Funding (Web)

Sudents should be aware that the possession of external financial aid is looked at very favourably by the Admissions Committee. It should also be understood that most forms of financial aid offered by the programme are not compatible with any other scholarships or grants. Moreover, admittted students are encouraged to continue to seek external sources of aid.
