ERC Consolidator Grant funds awarded to Professor Julian di Giovanni

Julian di Giovanni, professor of the Department of Economics and Business of the UPF and ICREA Research Professor, has been awarded with Consolidator Grant funding from the European Research Council (ERC) to carry out a project entitled "Global Production Networks and Macroeconomic Interdependence".

Prof. di Giovanni's project was selected by the ERC at the end of 2016. Project funds were recently awarded at a full amount of €1,381,250 to cover the five years from 2017 to 2022. The project will start May 1st.

ERC Consolidator Grants are highly competitive and awarded to talented researchers with 7-12 years of experience who want to establish their research teams and continue developing a successful career in Europe. Grant proposals are evaluated by selected international peer reviewers on the basis of excellence as the sole criterion. ERC grants are indicative of world-class research across all academic disciplines.
