After a selection and evaluation process carried out over last winter, the Department of Economics and Business of UPF has hired six new faculty members. A brief profile of the new professors is presented below.

- Isaac Baley: PhD New York University. Research interests: Macroeconomics, Information Frictions, International Economics.

- Alexander Frug: PhD Tel Aviv University. Research interests: Information Economics, Game Theory, Economic Theory.

- Manuel García Santana: PhD CEMFI. Research interests: Macroeconomics: Trade, Growth and Development.

- Sandro Shelegia: PhD Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Research interests: Industrial Organization, Game Theory, Political Economy.

- Timo Sohl: PhD University of St. Gallen. Research interests: Corporate Strategy, Business Models, Economies of Scope, Resource Redeployment.

Piotr Zwiernik: PhD University of Warwick. Research interests: Mathematical Statistics, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Models with Hidden Variables, Algebraic Statistic.
