The London Economics Symposium was founded for students with the commitment to offer a platform for open discussion on global socio-economic and political events in a dynamic setting.

We believe stimulus for inspiration comes from listening to and interacting with influential and prominent people in their fields. The London Economics Symposium aims to form an effective dialogue between students, academics and leaders to foster a holistic view on world affairs.

Consequently these discussions should enhance students' contextual appreciation of current events as well as share speakers' accumulated knowledge. Greater understanding of the present is the link, which leads to creative far-sighted and visionary thinking for our future. The London Economics Symposium is an international student conference promoting global socio-economic and political discussions between students, academics and leaders. In a time where it is vital to strengthen the link between decision makers in the areas regarding economic growth, political stability and environmental protection, students should take every opportunity to learn how decision makers collaborate to solve pressing issues.

The  London Economics Symposium 2015 is scheduled for the 30th and 31st of January of 2015 and will debate the achievements of the Millennium Development Goals from an economic and political standpoint and will focus on key themes such as Sustainability, Global Partnership for Development and Education. Some of this year's speakers are Prof. Ann- Kristin Achleitner (TUM), Dr. Theodor Weimer (UniCredit) and Sebastien Bazin (Accor).
