Professor Joachim Voth has been awarded an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council. With this prize the department reaches the best record in the Calls of the European Research Council among all the universities (not departments, but whole universities!) in Spain: two ERC Starting Grants (Jan Eeckhout and Marta Reynal-Querol) and two ERC Advanced Grants (Jordi Gali and Joachim Voth). The Economics Department at UPF got more Grants than any other department of Economics in Europe. The second place in the ranking is shared by LSE (3) and UCL (3).
