It is an action plan to facilitate access to and the period spent at university for high school students from El Raval district, highlighting educational innovation at the service of equality.

UPF’s CLICK designed actions to facilitate access to university for students with financial difficulties and who live in underprivileged areas of El Raval. The goal is to transform the tendency of the district and get as many students as possible to gain access to and successfully follow their studies at university.

In this sense, the students who participate in the project also have the opportunity to apply for UPF salary-based grants. The University reserves two for students from the Milà i Fontanals and the Miquell Tarradell secondary schools in Barcelona, the recipients of the initiative. The grants cover the cost of registration and offer monthly financial assistance to students over the years corresponding to the syllabus of the chosen degree.

The event was held in the Chronicles Room of Barcelona City Hall. It was attended by Mònica Figueras, vice-rector for the management of social engagement and equality projects; Manel Jiménez, academic director of the CLIK; and Carme Hernández; CLIK pedagogue and coordinator of this project at Pompeu Fabra University.
