This R+D project comprises 16 researchers -from 6 universities- and includes 30 specialists in its treasury group.

After other research projects on the evidence, the current one looks to the future more likely to ensure that this law will be able to respond to all our responses that science poses, essentially derived from the technological revolution in which we live. The links between science and evidence law are especially manifest in two areas:

(a) science as a test object. The new technological reality, which has been litigated, generates a special problem in the evidentiary sphere, and it is also proven by the continuous increase in the “internet of things” (IoT) and the incredible rise of “smart contracts”. Given this reality, it's hard to ask them what we have to formulate and solve from the optics of right of proof (which is described in the memory of the project). An other area of science in which evidentiary difficulties have been detected -and which are the object of this project- is that of advanced medicine, especially with regard to the development of biomedicine and possible harm; Yo

(b) science as a facilitating mechanism of proof. Technological advances offer the judge various instruments aimed at facilitating the conviction of litigious parties and donating them per proof (or not). Here, for example, we find the mathematical algorithms that integrate the artificial intelligence and that can contribute to the evidentiary task of the judgment; neuroscience as a way to donate more or less credibility to the declarations of all the people who testify in court (from the material parts, to the testimonies and experts); els nous sistemes de sistemes dels contractes electronics, etc. Furthermore, the current Fourth Industrial Revolution offers immense new sources of evidence that can be used in a judicial process, and that is especially true in three areas of society: in the way of relating to people, mitigating l'ús continu de les xarxes socials -amb milions d'usuaris-; in the emmagatzematge and transmission of all kinds of information, data or continguts online in some of the many virtual spaces that are available on the market; and in electronic contracting, especially with the dizzying development of large multinational companies dedicated to electronic trading of any type of product or service. It is essential to resolve how to guarantee judicial proof in all the processes that are arising in these new scenarios of our social relations: finally, technology is going to pervade them, which forces the courts to face the problems of probatoris atenent legal instruments clàssics, but it is evident that we have to find modern ways to try these new representatives of our society.

All this object of study that integrates this project is analyzed not only by the dogmatic-jurisprudential method, but through a field study of mercantile jutjats, and a clinical study on the application of neuroscience to personal problems.
