Sobrino Garcés, Cristina

Cristina Sobrino Garcés is Doctor in Law (Criminology) from UPF (2017) with the thesis dissertation "Prostitución callejera, barrios y percepción de seguridad: un estudio en Barcelona”, directed by Ester Blay Gil (Department of Law, Universitat de Girona) i Jorge Rodríguez Menés (Department of Political and Social Sciences, Universitat Pompeu Fabra). 

She holds a degree in Sociology at UAB (2004), Diploma in Specialized Studies in Theory and Methodology of the Social Sciences at UAB (2008) and a Masters in Criminology and Criminal Justice (2012).

She is teaching as Associate Professor in the Department of Public Policy at the UPF from year 2009-2010 and at the Department of Criminal Law in UDG from 2012-2013.

She has developed her research mainly in the field of social exclusion, working for Public Administration and diverse entities of the Third Sector. Her research areas are: social exclusion, gender, gender violence, prevention and urban security. Currently she is a researcher at urban safety and coexitence area of IERMB (Institut d'Estudis Regionals i Metropolitans de Barcelona).
