Ares Batlle Manonelles holds a degree in Criminology from Universitat de Barcelona (2010-2014) and completed a master’s degree in Criminology and Juvenile Justice at the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (2014-2016). In 2015 he obtained a scholarship that has allowed her to be a research assistant at the Unitat d’Investigació en l’àmbit social i criminològic del Centre d’Estudis Jurídics i Formació Especialitzada (January 2015 - September 2016). She is currently developing a PhD thesis about women’s rule breaking in prison a competitive grant by Generalitat de Catalunya (FI-2017).
