Audiovisual doctoral meetings

03.03.2023

The doctoral students of the CINEMA group (Colectivo de Investigación Estética de los Medios Audiovisuales) of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra are organizing "Audiovisual meetings for doctoral students" to establish a meeting point for all those who are working on a doctoral thesis focused on audiovisuals. Each meeting will be based on a screening of an audiovisual work in the "En Construcció" Room, with a presentation and subsequent discussion by a doctoral student. On each day, a different student will propose a screening related to his or her doctoral thesis. Thus, in the presentation he/she will explain the relationship between the work exhibited and the current state of his/her doctoral thesis. In the colloquium, a debate or doubts about the film and its academic approach will be established. The attendees will be able to dialogue and contribute ideas from their own knowledge and methodological area. In this way, we will generate connections, learn about new audiovisual works and talk about our research.

The meetings are open to anyone interested in audiovisual research.
