Graduate in Information Science fromthe Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and holder of a Doctorate in Audiovisual Communication from Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University. Professor of Audiovisual Communication at the UPF and head of department of Filmic Studies at the ESCAC. Film critic in Fotogramas, La Razón and Time Out, and literary critic of El Periódico de Catalunya. Author, amongst other books, of David Lean, la geografía de la emoción, Tom DiCillo, el mago de Oz, Michael Winterbottom, el orden del caos and Las variaciones Hartley. He has collaborated in collective works on Alain Resnais, Dario Argento, Philippe Garrel, Don Siegel, Jacques Demy, Australian fantastic cinema and American independent cinema. He has been a programming director in the TCM cinema channel and has written scripts for coverages and documentaries on cinema broadcasted on TVE and Canal Plus. His latest book published is Hacia una imagen no-tiempo. Deleuze y el cine contemporáneo. He has just published a chapter dedicated to no-time image in the collective book Post-cinema. Theorizing the 21st Century-Film, published by the Sussex University.
