Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University and in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature from the University of Barcelona, he also holds a Doctorate in Social Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University. Jimenez has worked in the field of scripting and production through diverse audiovisual projects, especially in the cultural contents area (Via Digital, Ona Catalana, Ràdio Barcelona/La SER). He contributes, with essays and reviews, to many journals and publishers and has contributed in many studies —both individually and inside investigation groups— on communication, such as UNICA and CINEMA. He has had three research stays (University of Oxford, University of California Los Angeles and British Film Institute) and has taught at many German and British universities. Nowadays, he is the academic director in CLIK (Center for Learning Innovation and Knowledge), where he combines his knowledge on the audiovisual field with the integration of new technologies in teaching.
