Mario Barranco-Navea has a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Seville. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University. He participates in various research projects of the Ministry and teaches at ESCAC about cinema, new media and video playful avant-gardes. He has contributed with his texts to various anthologies, such as The Heroes Are Dead. Heroism and villainy in television of the new millennium (Dolmen, 2014) or M. Night Shyamalan. The crystal filmmaker (Almuzara, 2019).
