The Department of Experimental and Health Sciences (DCEXS) will celebrate the 1st UPF-CEXS PhD Students Symposium, the first DCEXS symposium organized by doctoral students. On November 24th, doctoral students will have the opportunity listen to some inspiring talks, connect with each other and polish the poster presentation skills.

The journey will start with a talk by Núria López-Bigas, ICREA research professor at the Institute of Biomedical Research of Barcelona (IRB), where she studies the cancer driver mutations and the genes and pathways across tumor types. Afterwards, it will take place the cooperative poster session, in which the participants will be able to share their works for later explain them to the public during the PhD Students poster talks. Marc Güell, who has recently arrived from Harvard and currently heads the research group on Translational Synthetic Biology of the DCEXS, will give the last talk, which will precede the awards and closing ceremony. To top it all off, the students have prepared a beer session from 7.30pm.

The 1st UPF-CEXS PhD Students Symposium is open to everyone, although only DCEXS PhD students will be able to present their posters and benefit from coffee breaks, free lunch and other activities. Participate as a doctoral student and teach us your work by filling out this form!
