Having a good password to access ICT services is important because it helps maintain the security and privacy of your data. The Regulations on passwords for access to ICT services stipulate that passwords must be changed from time to time (at least once a year).

Remember that the password is unique for accessing UPF's main ICT services:

  • Workplace computer (PDI and PAS) and computer rooms computers
  • Campus Global and applications accessed with the Campus Global user
  • Wi-Fi
  • Institutional email account

If you need help choosing a robust and easy-to-remember password, we recommend that you read How to create a secure password before changing it.

Once you've decided what new password you want to have, follow these steps to make the change:

  1. Enter the Global Campus
  2. Click "Menu" and then click on your photo to enter "My Account"
  3. Choose the "Password" option
  4. Click on "Managing the UPF password"
  5. Press the "Change Password" button.

Keep in mind that this change will affect all the passwords you have stored on any of your devices, even your mobile.

On the other hand, if you use the eduroam Wi-Fi network on your computer or mobile device, once you've made the change, you'll need to reconfigure it. See instructions on How to set up eduroam.

Remember that you can have a password recovery address where you receive a recovery code in case, at some point, you have problems and need to reset your password.

For more information on changing your password, see the UPF Password guide.
