Anders Jonsson is a full professor in the Department of Information and Communication Technology, where he heads the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning research group. He received his Ph.D. in computer science in 2005 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. His research interests involve sequential decision problems in which one or several agents have to make repeated decisions about what to do, mainly in the form of automated planning and reinforcement learning. Specifically, he is currently working on sequential decision problems involving multiple agents, hierarchical representations of problems, combining the strengths of reinforcement learning and planning, finding and exploiting structure in sequential decision problems, and analyzing the computational complexity of different classes of problems.
