Barcelona, June 13, 2023The Pompeu Fabra University, in collaboration with the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency, has activated a preventive measures plan to avoid a computer incident that it has been able to detect thanks to the technological monitoring tools at its disposal.

Currently, the University does not have connectivity and, therefore, it is not possible to access IT services. However, the teaching activity scheduled for today will continue. Intensive work is being carried out and the situation is expected to return to normal this afternoon.

The measures taken are aimed at ensuring the proper functioning of the University's IT infrastructure. In this sense, the collaboration of the entire university community is requested in order to minimise possible risks and guarantee the normal development of university life.

The management team regrets that the disruption has occurred at this point in the academic year, which coincides with the end of the third term and the start of the exam period. However, it has deemed it necessary to take measures now to avoid any possible future major impact.

For this reason, it asks for the utmost understanding from all those affected, and reaffirms that it is making every effort to reverse the situation as soon as possible.

As far as possible, it will keep you informed of developments in this regard through social networks and the institutional website.
