René Lobo is a PhD student in the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) Group at the Information and Communication Technologies Department of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He received his BSc in Systems Engineering (2011) and MSc in Systems Engineering and Computing from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2015). Then he worked as an assistant professor and researcher in the department of Systems Engineering at Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga in Colombia for four years. He is also a mobile applications developer and entrepreneur, designing and developing apps for transportation, delivery, entertainment and education services. His research interests are focused on Educational Technologies, Learning Analytics and Gamification.
