The transcription factor Snail is a repressor of E-cadherin gene expression in epithelial tumour cells. Nat Cell Biol 2000, 2: 84-89, 698 citations- 25/09/11).Supervisor of 16 doctoral theses. Current principal investigator of four grants.
Analysis of the control of E-cadherin function through the phosphorylation of associated proteins.
Characterization of the mechanisms controlling E-cadherin gene expression in tumor cells, and more specifically, the factors repressing E-caherin transcription in invasive cells.
Analysis of the elements involved in the transcription of mesenchymal genes during EMT.
