The deep learning study group is back

A study group on Deep Learning was created by PhD students in 2016 (led by Ramón Nogueira -  now postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University) in order to jointly explore the basis of deep learning and their application across different fields. The group, initially composed by PhD students from our Department, increasingly involved researchers from other departments at UPF and other centers in Barcelona. The study group was complemented with a number of seminars provided by internal and external experts, mostly in collaboration with the Barcelona Machine Learning Study Group.

Details and presentations are available at https://www.upf.edu/web/mdm-dtic/deep-learning

In 2018 the group is back to life, thanks to Carina Silberer and Jeremy Barnes (both from the Department of Translation and Language Sciences). After a first meetup on May 8th 2018, the first session is scheduled for June 12th 16:00h. If you would like to be included in the distribution list for this group, contact Carina or Jeremy.
