Agreement by the Management Committee of 26 May 1993

1. In order for students at UPF to do the practicum as provided for in the syllabuses, there must be a previously established agreement between the University and the public or private collaborating entity. The agreement shall consider the purpose of the collaboration and the terms in which it shall take place.
2. In addition to the possibility of subscribing to a framework agreement that considers other common actions with the collaborating entity, in order to do the practicum, specific agreements must be set up including the general data concerning the practicum period.
The agreement shall be complemented by an attached document which contains the specific data referring to the students taking part.
3. The general data that MUST appear in the agreement are:
-The names of the parties signing
-The name and representation with which the persons signing are acting
-The purpose of the agreement
-The commitment by both parties to designate tutors
-The validity period of the agreement
-The possibility of an extension
-Specification that doing practicum does not imply any employment bond between the entity and the students
4. The specific data that appear on the attached document are as follows:
-Student's name
-Name and subject of the work or project
-Duration of the practicum (hours)
-The period of practicum
-The timetable the student should keep to
-The name of the University tutor and of the collaborating body
-Academic recognition (assessment in credits)
In addition, mention shall be made of the compulsory nature of the report to be drafted by the student at the end of the practicum period.
5. In the event that the reduced number of students so recommends, all of the above data may be adapted in a single document or agreement.
6. Students shall express their acceptance of the conditions established by signing the attached document to this effect, which contains the specific data or, when applicable, the individual agreement.
7. Agreements shall be signed in the name of the University by the rector or the academic authority in whom the rector may choose to delegate.
8. The processing of the agreements shall fall with the Administration of the studies in question.
