Functions:

The functions of the Technical Office for the Prevention of Occupational Hazards are to design, implement and coordinate preventive action schemes and programmes, first-aid groups and emergency schemes; to evaluate the risk factors which may affect the workers' safety and health; to give professional advice concerning the adoption and follow-up of preventive measures; to inform and draft workers' training schemes; to take care of workers' health in connection with work-related hazards, and to co-ordinate and follow up external prevention services.
