Melanie Revilla is researcher at the Research and Expertise Centre for Survey Methodology
(RECM) and associate professor at the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF, Barcelona, Spain). She is
graduated in statistics and economics at the 'Ecole nationale de la statistique et de
l'administration économique' (ENSAE-Paritech, Paris, France) and holds a Master of Science in
Economics from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics (Spain). She is currently writing her
dissertation at the University Pompeu Fabra in the area of statistics and survey methodology under
the supervision of professors Willem Saris (UPF) and Peter Lynn (ESSEX University). The topic of
her dissertation is the effects of mode of data collection on the quality of survey questions.
Besides the impact of the mode of data collection, she is interested in all aspects of survey
methodology.
