CONTENTS AND COURSES

To ensure that our international students achieve success, the UPF offers comprehensive support and access to facilities through our Study Abroad Office (which is part of the University’s International Relations Service).

ACADEMIC RESOURCES
The UPF student’s card and Intranet (Campus Global)

All participants in our study abroad programs will get a UPF student card upon arrival. This card accredits students as members of the UPF community giving them access to all university facilities and services.

Also, students will have access to the UPF Intranet (Campus Global) where all official communications will be posted. The “Aula Global” section is the place for professors and students to interact, post course materials, open forums and debates, and access and post grades as well as all teaching and learning activities.

The UPF Library and IT Services

The Library and IT Services provide essential support for your study, learning and research activities.

The Library is called CRAI, which stands for Learning and Research Resources Center (Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación). All the University services related to information and new technologies which support your learning such as Library services, IT services, audiovisuals, team work meeting rooms, etc. are all here. UPF CRAI orientation tours are arranged during Welcome and Orientation activities. Please [check here] for further information Study Abroad Students have access to all computer labs, to a laptop borrowing service, and to WIFI internet on campus.
OTHER ON CAMPUS SERVICES
Sports & Cultural Activities

As UPF students, all the participants in our Study Abroad Programs can take advantage of all the cultural and recreational activities campus life offers. The University encourages an active cultural life with theatre, musical, choir and cinema groups organized by students. Taking part in these programs is a perfect way to be involved in the University community, meet local students, practice Spanish, and get a true immersion experience.

The Student’s Information Desk (PIE), located at the entrance of each of the library facilities, can provide information about a wide variety of sports and recreational activities as well as student-run societies and organizations, language exchange, volunteering opportunities, etc. The SACU (University Community Services) coordinates these offerings

University Dining Halls

There are university dining halls in the Roc Boronat, Jaume I and Roger de Llúria buildings. The price of the midday menu ranges from 5 € to 7 €.

Bookshop – Stationery

It is located in Roger de Llúria building in La Ciutadella Campus. It is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and does not close for lunch. It is a specialist bookshop, although it also sells fiction and stationery.

Copy Center (OCÉ)

The copy shops are located in the Jaume I, Roc Boronat and Mar buildings. They are open in the mornings and in the afternoons, except in the summer period when they are only open in the morning.

Self-service photocopy machines

The self-service photocopy machines operate with a rechargeable card that can be bought from the dispensing and recharging machines in each of the buildings or at the Photocopying Service (OCÉ). Please, [click here] for further information in photocopying services

BEYOND THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

All our programs include on-site learning opportunities such as visits to Museums, Monuments and other institutions that are relevant to the courses topics. Entry formalities

An acceptation letter will be issued for all students admitted in the program. Our office provides students and universities with information and support to obtain visas, if applicable. Please, [click here] for further information about entry formalities.

Health and Safety

Accommodation

UPF is a centrally located urban university and does not have in campus residences or dormitories. However, our office will provide you with information about the Barcelona University Center  service (which offers a wide range of different accommodations such as flats, single rooms in flats, provisional accommodation, etc.), as well as contact details of residences and dormitories conveniently located close to our campuses (offering special rates to UPF students).
