Upon completing their application for admission, applicants should submit supporting documents certifying the specific circumstances that are subject to assessment.
Final admission
shall be subject to it being certified that the applicant does or will meet
the general and specific requirements for admission to the master by the time
the course begins.
3. Procedure for assessing applications for admission
If demand for places on the master is greater than availability, applications will be placed in order according to the criteria set out in this regulation.
The selection procedure will be conducted by a selection committee designated by the body in charge. The committee shall comprise three lecturers from the scientific field to which the master pertains, one of whom will be appointed as president and one as secretary.
It is incumbent on this committee to select applicants and to solve all issues arising from this activity which are not entrusted to another body.
The committee will publish the selection procedure schedule over the University's institutional website, stating the date on which results will be published. This committee must ensure that the selection procedure is complete before the registration period begins.
The committee will publish its final list over UPF's institutional website. An appeal may be lodged to the rector against this decision.
4. Assessment criteria
The selection procedure
shall incorporate criteria relating to academic performance, vocational readiness
or interest in the research, experience in the field, distribution of places
based on varying geographical origin and an academic degree qualification.
1. Academic performance: this will be assessed taking into account the academic
transcript, which should show above average results.
2. Additional training: professional experience in teaching SFL; secondly, experience
in teaching second or foreign languages. This additional training will be gauged
according to working references, publications and personal information provided
by the applicant during the interview conducted by the course directors.
3. Skills assessment. Interest and motivation on the part of applicants, who
shall address a letter to the directors of the master, no more than two pages

characters on each page including spaces).
4. Interview: applicants will need to take an interview with the course directors
to expand upon the details set out in the letter referred to above.
Priority will be given to students who meet the admission requirements in June prior to the start of the academic year for which they are applying.
