Genomics

Presentation

UPF Genomics Core Facility was created in 1999 to give service to the research community with the most updated technology for DNA study in a joined effort.

Currently, researchers working with our facility exceed the number of 400 with a weekly increasing rate.

We provide a large variety of methods to work with DNA and RNA samples. The most recent acquired equipment is the ultra-sequencer or second-generation sequencer 454/Roche GS Junior, which is fully working. However, Sanger sequencing and real-time PCR genotyping continue to be the techniques most required by our users so far.
