The UPF visiting researchers programme
The UPF raises the profile of the position of visiting researcher by means of a programme approved by the Board of Governors on 15 July 2009, which defines the categories and regulates the procedure for the stage of these researchers.
The position of visiting researcher is incompatible with any type of UPF contract or appointment.
Requirements for being a visiting researcher
- A letter of invitation from a permanent full-time doctor lecturer or from a researcher associated with the UPF is necessary, as well as the approval of the director of the department or university research institute to which the research of the lecturer issuing the invitation is affiliated.
- Research stages at the UPF must have a minimum duration of one month and a maximum duration of two years.

The process can begin in two ways: 1.1. The person interested in becoming a visiting researcher can apply to the department or institute for a stage 1.2. The UPF issues an invitation to an individual to become a visiting researcher (link to the person issuing the invitation) |
