BIB-SCB: III Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Symposium, 18th December 2015 - Registration OPENS
Once again, we are glad to invite you to the III Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Symposium jointly organised by the Societat Catalana de Biologia (SCB) and Bioinformatics Barcelona Association (BIB), which will take place at the Institut d'Estudis Catalans the 18th of December, 2015. This one-day Symposium will consist of four keynote communications about different aspects of the Bioinformatics in Catalonia, and short talks (10' presentation + 5' questions) given by PhD students and postdocs, whom we strongly encourage to submit and share their work with us.

The 4th DCEXS Symposium Innovative in silico strategies in biomedical research will take place on 17 November in the PRBB. You can find all the information in the attached poster, and the list of speakers here.

We encourage you to register as soon as possible as there are limited places.

Four UPF students receive a scholarship from ?la Caixa? Foundation for making their PhD in leading research centers

The grants, which will last four years and are endowed with 113,500 Euros, will allow them to study at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and the Spanish National Cancer Research Center, both centers with the Severo Ochoa seal of excellence, UB and also at the same UPF.
