In accordance with article 2.5 of the academic regulations for master studies (Senate Meeting May 10, 2006) final admission (at the beginning of the study period) is dependent on compliance with the general and specific requirements for access to master studies established by current law.
General entry requirements
The Spanish Government's Royal Decree 1393/2007, October 29 establishes the new regulations applicable to all official university postgraduate programmes.
In accordance with this Royal Decree, students can access official master programmes as follows:
Any student holding an official university degree (grau, llicenciat, enginyer, arquitecte, diplomat, enginyer tècnic or arquitecte tècnic).
Any student holding an official degree from an accredited university within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) which entitles the applicant to admission in an official master's degree programme.
Any student holding a degree from a higher education institution outside de EHEA which has been officially validated (homologado) or recognised by the UPF (the student will have to fill in an application form to access the master programme with non-validated degrees outside the EHEA during the pre-enrolment period).
The applicant's admission in an official master's degree program does not entitle him/ her to the recognition or validation of his/her previous degrees.
Students with non-validated foreign university degrees will have to ask for legalisation of their university degrees and academic transcripts once admitted to the master's programme. The legalisation process can take months. We therefore advise candidates to begin with this procedure as soon as possible. Please download this document with the relevant instructions depending on your country of origin.
Specific entry requirements
Students will need a level of English equivalent to the Cambridge University First Certificate.
