Application to university masters 2009-2010 is now closed.
Should there be vacancies in any master programme, application will again be open between September 7 and 16. Candidates will need to be based in Barcelona, as this extraordinary application period will require students to come to the Admissions Office with original application documents.
Admission will be then automatic if the candidate meets the application requirements.

1. Accredited University degree (according to RD 1393/2007)
or,
in lack of that, a signed declaration of obtaining the diploma which enables access to the master at the start of the academic year
2. Official transcript *
3. Accreditation of an English language level equivalent to:
a) First Certificate in English
b) Certificate of Aptitude from the Escola Oficial d'Idiomes
c) Certificate of Competency in English (ECCE), University of Michigan
d) Rating of at least 213 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
e) Rating of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
or have successfully completed one of the following levels:
a) 5th Level in the UPF Language Programme
b) 4th Level at the Catalan Escola Oficial d'Idiomes4. Accreditation of additional academic courses or professional experience. (if applicable)
5. Letter of recommendation
6. Motivation letter (500-600 words, in english) explaining the candidate's interest
For those students who have no proven accreditation of English language, they can test their level by undertaking a written and oral exam organised by the PEI. More information http://www.upf.edu/pei/ To check equivalent certificates of English language.
(*) If you are planning to apply for a scholarship and you have a foreign degree, you have to submit the official transcripts translated into Spanish or Catalan. The transcripts must contain the subjects, number of credits per subject, grades and the equivalence in the Spanish system: Aprovado (pass) / Notable (good) / Excelente (very good) or Matrícula de Honor (cum laude).

Should demand be greater than the number of spaces available in the Master's Programme, applications will be ranked according to the following evaluation criteria:
The Selection Commission can also request an admissions interview. The date and timing of the interview will be communicated to the candidates a week in advance. During the interview candidates will provide further information on their academic background, additional training, skills, interests and motivation relevant to the student's admission.
Once the pre-admission process is over, and all the required documents have been duly received within the stated period, the provisional list of "pre-registered" and "non-pre-registered" candidates eligible for admission will be published in the Bologna Master's website. "Non-pre-registered" students will have 10 working days to submit the outstanding documents.
The admission process will start after the publication of the final list of pre-registered candidates. Once the process is finished, the list of "admitted" and "non-admitted" students in each of the Bologna Master's will be posted on the web.
Non-admitted students will have a 30-working-day period to submit any claims. Accepted students will have to pay a non-refundable fee of 300 Euros to guarantee their place in the programme. This fee will be deducted from the total tuition fee.
Admitted students will be kept informed of the steps to be followed to complete the registration process through the Bologna Master's website and personalised mailings.
