Presentation

This master's degree has a multidisciplinary focus which highlights the relationships between the arts and between the different cultural discourses, both from the contemporary and the historical perspectives. It targets both students who plan to continue their training for doctoral research and those who seek to extend their knowledge of the humanistic disciplines for other purposes. Introduction to research requires greater dedication, both in terms of credits and duration in order to provide a suitable depth of knowledge in the area of research work as to prepare for the doctoral thesis.

Objectives

The objective of this master's degree is for students to develop the ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge applicable to the study of both literary and philosophical works and works pertaining to the field of the image.

It enables combining one main area of study with a secondary field, from among the three fundamental tracks of literature, art and thought, in order to gain greater knowledge of a speciality whilst developing a cross-sectional perspective. The programme provides tools for reflection, analysis and interpretation required for advanced training in the humanistic disciplines, focussing on understanding the complexity of the cultural phenomena of our times.
