Presentation

This master's degree programme aims to train professionals in policy development: resources and activities to protect and promote workers' health. It has two tracks: Occupational Pathology (professional course type) and Occupational Health (research course type).

  • Compulsory contents
    Basic training modules for all occupational health professionals: Introduction to Occupational Health; Methodological Bases in Occupational Health; Occupational Hazards; Prevention Management.
  • Speciality in Occupational Pathology (Professional course type)
    Introduction to Occupational Medicine; Prevalent Health Problems; Final Research Paper / Report.
  • Speciality in Occupational Health (Research course type)
    Advanced Epidemiology; Advanced Biostatistics; Emergent Problems in Occupational Health; Final Research Paper / Article.

Internship

Resident doctor students of occupational medicine carry out their internships at the healthcare institution where they will continue with their medical rotation, and the students from the research track will have the chance to carry out their research on subjects of interest of Pompeu Fabra University's Occupational Health Research Centre (CISAL).

Career prospects

The master's degree in Occupational Health is equivalent to the international master's degree in Occupational Health and offers the opportunity to develop professionally in local, national and international institutions in the field of occupational health.

The programme of the master's degree in Occupational Health has a variety of means of financing available for the research track, which cover registration fees.
