Employment service

 

The UPF Employment Service matchs up job offers made by companies with graduates seeking employment. Graduate students seeking employment related to their academic qualifications are welcome to register.
To register at the UPF Employment Service is necessary to be an UPF graduate or last year student and to introduce the curriculum on the web through the OIL's curricula management computer application, Campus Treball, on Campus Global (UPF's intranet).
The Employment Service only accepts job offers looking for university graduated profiles.
Job offers are posted on the notice board of Campus Global.

Students on practice

 

Educational Co-operation Programmes
All short and long degree students who have passed fifty per cent of their degree credits and who are matriculated at UPF can take part in an educational co-operation programme. This programme provide professional training for students through special agreements drawn up between the University and outside bodies and companies.
All information about these programmes and details concerning applications are available at the OIL web site on Campus Global (UPF's intranet).

Company presentations

 

Business gatherings
These gatherings provide students with an opportunity to make direct contact with leading companies and institutions. The latter put on presentations and often run recruitment drives.

Courses and advice

 
Advice sessions
In the course of the year, the OIL provides various courses and information sessions all of which are of an eminently practical nature. Some of the brief guidance sessions provide techniques which are not only of immediate practical use but will also serve graduates in the future when faced with career changes.
Other sessions are about some of the skills which employers set great store by. These skills are intended to complement the fruits of university education:
Negotiation Theory and Practice, Public Speaking, Writing Techniques, Team Work and Creativity, Searching for Work and Career Development: Networking, Persuasive Discourse: Oratory for Lawyers, etc...


Professional advice


 

Informative sessions about career opportunities
The Oficina de Inserción Laboral holds various conferences and workshops during the third trimester in co-operation with deans and directors of study with the aim of informing students of the career opportunities in each academic discipline.

A wide catalogue with links of general interest related to job search, professional advice, working abroad, scholarships, grants, internet job searching, electronic notice boards, academic advice, enterprising, etc...
