DAILY AQUARIUM ("Aquarium quotidià")
Marina works at the Quarentine Room and at the laboratory.
In the Quarentine Room newcomer fishes acclimatize to make sure they fit in with the new feeding systems. Marina supervises that fishes are ok, that they get rid of any stress accumulated in transit and monitor any possible diseases and parasites they may have.
In the lab Marina and her colleagues prepare the phytoplankton that will be used to feed zooplankton. At the same time, zooplankton feeds bigger fishes. Marina feels very proud when a newcomer fish leaves the quarentine room and goes to its aquarium. Her work has been worthwhile!!!

This Department is also in charge of feeding and cleaning the aquariums. Marina loves to dive in the pool to be in contact with fishes. It's the best moment of the day!!!!
The lab unit also supervises physicochemical parameters and carries out microscopic analyses. To perform analyses Marina uses a lot of jars. She doesn't like wash them at all, but she says it doesn't matter if she has the opportunity of diving with fishes!
By the way, her name -Marina- comes from Mar, the catalan name for Sea...
