UPF publications

• The book entitled Documents administratius de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra, published in 1994 on paper and in electronic format in 2004, is a summary of the most commonly used administrative documents at the University, the principal formal procedures and a complete list of municipalities and regions.
• The Llibre d’estil de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra, published in 1996 on paper and in electronic format in 2005, contains two chapters and two appendices which establish the University's language model and set the main conventions relating to the formal aspects of writing and presenting a text.

Online dictionaries and encyclopaedias

In this section you will find a series of links to online dictionaries and encyclopaedias which can be useful for writing, editing or translating any type of text. You can also link to the selection of electronic dictionaries offered by the Library, both contracted and free of charge.

Automatic translation

In this section you will find a series of links to the leading free automatic translation programs available on line. These tools are particularly useful, effective and reliable for texts in the Catalan-Spanish language pair, although careful "human" proofreading is always necessary. You can also access to the list of links to automatic translation programmes offered by the Library.

Linguistic standards

This section includes links to the main linguistic standards of the University both of a general nature and those relating to language dynamisation and training.

Linguistic portals

The translation and philology subject guide is a selection of electronic information resources comprising dictionaries, grammars, term banks, electronic magazines, data bases, etc. Specifically linguistic resources ara grouped in five languages (Catalan, Spanish, French, English and German), whereas thematic resources are grouped according to the different disciplines of translation and interpretation and linguistics.

Portal of linguistic resources of the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats. The portal provides information on all of current educational, consulting and terminological activities and allows users to connect to the linguistic services of all member universities of the network.
